AUSTIN-XXL DANCE
for bears, cubs, chubs, and chasers.
Members of the Lone Star Bears,
Most of you have already heard we are putting together a bear/big men's dance here in Austin. Well guys, it's a GO!!!!!
We finalized a date with Andy (December 5th) at the RCC, and we are very proud to announce: we now have XXL-London as our sponsor.
If you have been to an XXL Dance in London or New York, you know they are the premier bear/big men dances in the world. They are a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to meet, socialize, and yes dance with other bears, cubs, chubs, and chasers.
Mark and James at XXL-London will advertise our Austin-XXL dance to their 40,000 members worldwide, as well as 100% Beef and Euro Bear magazines, and on their web site at www.xxl-london.com.
We are asking for volunteers from the members of the Lone Star Bears to help make this the biggest and best bear, cub, chub, and chaser event in Austin.

The Lone Star Bears held our first event as a group at the 2007 Texas Bears Round-Up, and we want to thank everyone who volunteered to help make the cocktail party a success. Although we did not have much time to work on a theme, the cocktail party was fun to do, and as always volunteering to help the Dallas Bears was well worth the time and the effort, because they always put on a fun event, and all the proceeds from TBRU go to charities.
We also wish to thank the Dallas Bears for welcoming us into the Bear Community. This was one of the all time best Texas Bear Round-Ups. The officers of the Dallas Bears and the TBRU organizing committee and volunteers did a superb job of putting on one of the premier events in the bear community.
Dave and I, and our friend Rusty, also volunteered our services to help out with TBRU. That year we helped at the registration desk, and at the bar in the hospitality suite. Besides the rewards of helping a worthy cause, we also had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know many of the attendees at TBRU. We had a great time, and we suggest our members consider volunteering in the future to help make TBRU a continued success.
